Trading in US equities

If clients wish to trade in the US within an ISA or Investment Dealing Account, they will need to complete a W-8BEN form and return it to Alliance Trust Savings prior to trading. This will ensure the correct tax relief is applied on income paid from US stocks and shares. If your clients are a SIPP customer Alliance Trust Savings will complete a W-8BEN form on their behalf.
