i.nvest FAQ's

While i.nvest is simple and intuitive to use, we understand that you may still have questions about the service. We’ve complied a list of FAQs, based on customer feedback, which should help answer most of your questions.

What if the fund I want to purchase isn’t on i.nvest?

We regularly review the fund management groups on i.nvest to ensure that it offers the top groups actively used by our customers. If a fund you’re interested in investing in isn’t available, write to us and - if it is appropriate to add it then we shall.

Can I transfer funds held with other providers to Alliance Trust Savings?

Yes, but before instructing the transfer check with your existing provider what - if any - transfer charges will be incurred.

How often are rebates paid?

The fund rebates can be monthly, quarterly, six monthly or annually - the frequency will depend on when the fund manager makes them. You can find out more in our Guide to Funds booklet.

Where is the rebate paid?

Rebate payments will be made into your account after we receive them from the fund manager.  They may be made to a different part of the account depending on the type of account you hold with us.

Are rebates taxed?

This will depend on the type of account you hold and its associated tax status.

Risk warning

Please remember the value of your investments and any income from them can go up or down and you might get back less than the amount that you originally invested. All investments carry an element of risk which may differ slightly. If you are unsure as to the suitability of any particular investment or product, you should seek professional financial advice. Foreign markets will involve different risks than UK markets. In some cases risks will be greater. The potential for profit or loss from transactions on foreign markets or in foreign currency denominated markets will be affected by fluctuations in foreign exchange rates. Tax rules may change in the future and taxation will depend on your personal circumstances.
