Choice of pricing The choice is clear

HOW OUR CHARGES WORK

We offer a choice of charging options to suit different needs, depending how you and your adviser plan to use our services.

You can find out more in our Charges Guide and your adviser will be able to recommend the most appropriate option for each Account you hold.

A FAIR APPROACH

For those who work with financial advisers, we’re the only platform service that charges based on flat Account fees. We believe that’s a fair approach because, no matter what the value of an Account, it costs us roughly the same to manage it and to provide the services you and your adviser will use. Everyone covers their own cost.

The flat fee difference

Flat fees can be of great benefit for you at larger Account sizes. As a rough guide, if your Account value is £100,000 or more, you’ll start to see the flat fee difference with Alliance Trust Savings. And the larger your Account value, the clearer it becomes.

The flat fee difference matters because, simply put, the more money that’s left in your Account, the more you have that could benefit from growth.

How we compare

Here are some figures to give you an idea of how we compare. We think they speak for themselves.

Please remember that the value of your investments and any income from them can go down as well as up and you may get back less than the amount originally invested. All investments carry an element of risk which may differ significantly. If you are unsure as to the suitability of any particular investment or product, you should speak to your financial adviser.

Important: About the price comparisons

Our price comparisons are based on publicly-available information for standard rates on provider websites at 12 September 2019 as compiled by platform consultancy the lang cat. Comparing the main Account fee or platform custody charge along with any dealing or services charges for each scenario described above. You should check with each provider for the details of all their charges, which may be subject to change. For Alliance Trust Savings you can find this in our Charges Guide for Advised Clients.

Underlying investment costs (for example, the ongoing fees paid to fund managers) and drawdown charges are excluded. We assume portfolios are invested in unit trusts and OEICs and the figures do not allow for any investment returns. Competitors selected for comparison are the top five advised platforms by assets under administration.
